STUDIO IN THE WOODS 2023

As part of our ongoing architectural programme with The University of Liverpool, this year 20 BA1 students took part in the design and build of a series of hillside terraces in Bodfari, North Wales.
Students expressed their interest in January 2023 and, working alongside the Client and architects from Unit3 Design Studio over several weeks, developed a sketch scheme, models, 3Ds and technical drawings for construction purposes.
The final design comprised of two large terraces and a final octagon seating area at the top of the hill – all three acting as entertainment spaces for the client.
The workshop is organised and run by Liverpool University tutors, supported by architects from Unit3 Design Studio and assisted with construction technicians Rod Waterfield and Alan Waterfield from the Woodland Skills Centre.
